Sending post to the EU

A customs declaration is now required for post sent to the EU. The type of customs declaration form will depend on the value of the items posted (known as CN22 or CN23).

The Royal Mail should be able to provide advice on how to complete these forms.

The information contained on the form is the sender’s responsibility.

Receiving post from the EU

Receiving post from the EU requires payment of VAT and duties.

You will need to pay customs duties for deliveries from an EU seller that are valued at over £390 and VAT for deliveries valued at over £135.
